FLOTSAM AND JETSAM Get Offered KROKUS Tour, Seek New Vocalist
October 6, 2002FLOTSAM AND JETSAM have been offered a west coast tour with veteran Swiss rockers KROKUS, according to drummer Craig Nielsen. However, seeing as the Arizona-based metallers have yet to find a permanent replacement for frontman Eric A.K., it is unlikely that they will accept the offer. "We actually would like to do [the tour], so we are looking closely at a few guys who may be able to grow quickly into the part," Craig wrote on the band's official message board. "If [anyone knows] a guy who is the real deal, then email me ([email protected]) with a phone number and I will make contact. Time is of the essence… We are not going to settle for anything less than total pro. [HELSTAR frontman] James Rivera did a great job on the last tour, but now he is in SEVEN WITCHES, and we need a permanent guy."
As for A.K.'s current status, the singer is "fully into his country project and actually has good reason to feel like it may go somewhere, 'cuz apparently he is getting serious interest," said Nielsen.
